Run for a Reason
 Lung Power Team Member: Sangita BhagatHi, my name is Sangita Bhagat and I will be running my first Chicago marathon. I've supported Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago through previous events such as Hustle Up the Hancock, but it wasn't until recently that I became personally connected to their cause. My dad passed away earlier this year due to respiratory issues and its been incredibly difficult not having him around. I get sad, angry, frustrated, and feel so lost without him. But I know the best thing I can do is turn my grief into something positive. So I'm putting my effort towards bringing awareness for lung disease research, education and advocacy, a cause so near and dear to my heart. With that said, I'm proud to be running with the Lung Power Team in honor and memory of my amazing and wonderful dad. I'm running to make a difference. |
